Mmm, Revlon is fast becoming my all-time fave drugstore brand. I have been wearing Skinlights for face and Super Lustrous lip gloss since high school, but I could swear that they’ve since improved the formulation of Super Lustrous. It feels even creamier and more long-lasting than I remember. Plus, it’s not too sticky.
If I could compare the consistency and look to a high-end lip gloss, Revlon Super Lustrous has the creaminess of Estee Lauder Pure Gloss with the rich look of MAC Lipglass. My current favorite Super Lustrous Shade is Life’s a Peach – a perfect soft coral for Spring. If you want to kick it up a notch for Spring, pick Coral Glow – a bolder, more sangria-orange gloss with a touch of sparkle.
A girl can never have too many lip glosses.
If you pick up one more item by Revlon, try Revlon Eyelash Curler. It is the best I’ve used to date. We’re inseparable.
I’ll be honest: the only eyelash curlers I’ve owned to date are from Lancome and Revlon, in that order. I thought my Lancome curler could do no wrong — it did pinch my eyelids a little if I wasn’t careful, but it gave a nice curl. That is, until it broke one day. I didn’t realize how flimsy Lancome’s eyelash curler was until the end of the handle randomly snapped off. Frustrated, I tossed it in the trash and headed to the drugstore to try the Revlon eyelash curler I remembered reading about so often.
Revlon Eyelash Curler feels light yet sturdy. The pads are ultra comfy and the curler doesn’t pinch my eyelids at all. It delivers a nice curl with no awkward crimp in your lashes. The pads are also white (Lancome’s were black) which allows you to see and clean off any built-up eye makeup on the tool.
All in all, as long as this tool does not break prematurely, Revlon Eyelash Curler gets the job done for me.
Which brand eyelash curler can you not live without?

Can I just say that I am fiending for the limited edition Shimmering Body Oil as well? Thanks, Bobbi. See the entire Platinum Collection here.
It looks like this Spring’s trend of overall rocker details will carry over into Fall 2009. Loves it.
The look that NARS makeup artist Ayako created at the 3.1 phillip lim NYFW show for Autumn/Winter 2009 was all about wispy lashes and translucent matte skin. The makeup was intended to look very mod with a touch of rock & roll, for an overall “poetic mod-rock” look.
Ayako applied false lashes to the outer corners of the bottom lash line of the models to create the wispy look. Shimmering pink and gold eyeshadows were brushed on the lids. For lips, a bit of concealer was applied to mute the natural lip color. (This muted-with-concealer lip look has been seen in many shows during Fall 2009 NYFW, so it’s safe to say that nude lips are definitely a go for this Fall).
The skin was perfected with the new NARS Sheer Matte Foundation and a bit of shimmer was swept on the cheekbones to catch the light.

Staying true to the cool (blue-toned) pink trend of the season, this week my makeup look consists of MAC Beauty Powder Blush in Feeling and NARS Lip Gloss in Female Trouble. On the eyes I’m doing simple shadows — a shimmery beige to highlight and a matte brown to contour — and gold “eyelights” on the inner corners of my eyes with Revlon High Dimension metallic eyeliner in Gold Flash. On the lash line is my staple black liquid liner (Wet ‘n Wild MegaLiner) and on the bottom waterline/lash line is Clarins waterproof eyeliner in black. This month is all about *pink* for me… I love being festive for the holidays.

Foundation: MAC Studio Stick
Powder: Lancome Dual Finish to mattify, Chanel Natural Finish Loose Powder in Natural Light allover for an illuminating effect.
