Did you know that Fall is the season when men pay most attention to their grooming habits? When it comes to shaving, hair care, and other beauty rituals, during the months of October-December, sales for related men’s products soar. To help you help your guy find the best products for him, I’ll begin featuring some of the stuff that my guy friends love.
A few weeks ago I spoiled my boyfriend with some products from Alford & Hoff men’s grooming line, including their Sirtuin-Activating Serum & Moisturizer for all skin types and also Alford & Hoff Microdermabrasion for all skin types.

I spy: layered statement necklaces, studs & embellishments, flannel, asymmetrical hems, layers, ripped denim, black/white, boyfriend jackets

MAC Style Black
For Fall/Winter 2009, it’s gothic elements that define this season’s wardrobe and makeup looks. Leather, lace, spikes, and buckles, along with sooty, blackened makeup looks give you a dark edge. The keyword here is sultry rather than scary - a little lace here, some black gloss there – and you’re doing “goth” well. Add some sparkle to glam up the night.
All black? Check. Studs? Check. Platform pumps? Check. Leather? Check! Yet, she feminizes this look with bright pink nail polish and a semi-sheer cashmere tank. Droolworthy. Loving the cropped ‘do as well, of course.

Am I the only one that switches to liquid foundation when fall/winter hits? Naturally a lot of us switch to a non-drying (non-powder) formula for the colder weather season – even for me as my skin is naturally on the oily side. L’Oreal True Match Super Blendable Liquid Makeup not only blends perfectly well with my skintone, but leaves my skin relatively shine-free as well. After a light dusting of loose powder on top I’m ready to go. The formula reminds me a lot of Lancome Color ID foundation, though it was discontinued years ago. Fortunately, I have found a similarly pleasing liquid formula in True Match and at a drugstore price.

I did this eye look yesterday, wanting to show off one of my favorite dramatic eye looks using drugstore eyeshadow. The shadows I used are all from the CoverGirl Eye Enhancers 4-Kit in Berries & Cream after I prepped my lids with UDPP.
