My Favorite At-Home Facial Products
I recently had a professional spa microdermabrasion done and I have to say that I am pleased with the results! Even though it was only one treatment – and I must go back once a week for the next five weeks to reap the full benefits – my face is visibly more glowing, my pores are clean (allowing my at-home treatments to absorb better), and my facial discolorations are beginning to vanish. I recommend a professional microdermabrasion for anyone with such skin issues – dullness, discolorations, clogged pores, etc. It’s time to baby your skin!
My Favorite At-Home Facial Treatments
Bliss Triple Oxygen Mask ($52) - I posted a review on this mask not too long ago and am still in love with it. Especially that the weather here in the Midwest is sticky and feels downright yucky on my skin, Bliss Triple Oxygen Mask always comes to the rescue. A couple pumps of the pink gel spread on the face quickly turns into a foam that gently and pleasantly opens up your pores. After 5 minutes, rinse it off and you can practically feel your pores breathing fresh air! It’s lovely and has Vitamin C antioxidant properties as well. Bliss Oxygen Mask can be used up to three times a week and continuously gives that *refreshed* feeling.
Lancome Resurface-C Microdermabrasion Kit ($88) - This skincare set is a fantastic in-shower facial scrub with tiny, perfectly spherical beads which help to exfoliate without wrecking havoc on your precious skin. The kit also comes with a generous tube of Vitamin C for use after the scrub, which not only pampers your skin but maintains skin’s suppleness and has fab antioxidant properties.
Post-Facial Skincare
After I do my at-home facials I like to follow up with a good toner and serum/moisturizer. Currently I’m using Lancome Bright Expert Toner which is formulated to even and brighten your skintone. I pour just a bit of toner into the palm of my hands, press my hands together, then pat toner onto my entire face. While my face is still damp, I apply my favorite serum
and moisturizer. Leaving your skin damp after applying toner allows your pores to more readily absorb your serum/moisturizer.
