Quick Beauty Fixes
Below are a few of my tried-and-true solutions to beauty dilemmas that we commonly face. Be sure to check back for personal reference and new additions.
Solutions
Hangover Beauty
Dilemma You wake up after a night of drinks and fun. Not only are you still tired, but also hung over to boot.
Quick Stash B-complex vitamins, green tea, Smith’s Rosebud Salve
Try This: Begin re-hydrating yourself by downing ounces of water, first thing, while brewing a cup of green tea. Take a couple B complex vitamins while you’re at it; you’re going to feel crappy until you replenish the B vitamins to your system that the alcohol stripped away the night before. While waiting for your fresh complexion to be restored, dab a bit of SRS to your browbones, cheekbones, and lips to feign a supple glow. Drink down the tea and you should be good to go – less headache, more energy. No one has to know how long you were out or how much you drank the night before!
On-the-Go Beauty
Dilemma You’re in a hurry; you don’t have time for a full-on-femme makeup job
Quick Stash An on-the-go beauty bag stocked with: A rosy-toned blush that compliments your skintone, Smith’s Rosebud Salve, white eyeliner, brown/black eyeliner, mascara, and whatever else you can quickly manage (concealer would probably help)
Try this: For a quick look, dab a bit of SRS on key areas of your face: browbones, cheekbones, inner corners of eyes, & lips. Brush a rosy blush across your cheekbones and just a bit on your eyelids. Apply white eyeliner to the innermost rim of your bottom lash line (make sure the tip is clean and not too sharp!). Trace and smudge the brown/black liner around your eyes between your lashes, then apply mascara. Voila: perfectly fresh-faced without getting too done up!
