How gorgeous is she? Evan Rachel Wood looks simply fresh and striking in NARS Spring 2012 makeup! (and that fabulous, metallic green Gucci mermaid dress)

Makeup Inspiration:
“Sometimes the stars just align (pun intended) and tonight with nominee Evan Rachel Wood, her look came together so organically. Of course with a Gucci Premiere gown such as hers, it was all about the dress so we wanted to keep the make up clean and soft.

When I saw the new NARS Spring collection, it was as if the products were created specifically for this look! We had so much fun getting ready for the big day. We rocked out to some of our favorite tunes (Lykke Li), ate some yummy snacks (cookies of course) and most importantly laughed!”

The Look:

• Paramaribo Duo Eyeshadow (new for Spring 2012) was the exact gilded gold and bronze we wanted to create a soft metallic eye that would pick up the accent of the feathers.  Then we used Almay One Coat Nourishing Mascara on the lashes to finish the eye (ok maybe more than one coat!).

Kate Middleton’s Royal Wedding Makeup Look

Kate Middleton shined at her Royal Wedding with a classic wedding makeup look consisting of soft, neutral tones – a shimmery cool shade on the eyes, a pinky peach on the cheeks, and a golden pink shade on the lips. If we had to guess which brand, we’re definitely aiming at Bobbi Brown or maybe even NARS! Everyone’s been buzzing about just which celebrity makeup artist had the opportunity to do Kate Middleton’s makeup for her big day. But, as rumor has it – she did her own makeup!

Just last week, the bride-to-be was spotted making a purchase that included “eye makeup and basics that were a shade darker than she usually uses in the winter” at London’s Peter Jones department store last week. (Source: Us Magazine)

Either way, this doesn’t stop makeup artists from taking their own guesses at how her makeup look may have come together.

Celebrity makeup artist Autumn Moultrie says you can get Kate’s royal look by playing up your eyes with soft grey shadows and keeping your lips ‘naturally’ pink. To keep the eyes the focus, Autumn believes that Kate used concealer and brightener under her eyes to make her eyes twinkle.

NARS makeup artist Alexis Androulakis suggests using a primer to help keep everything in tact. “Use a skin smoothing skin prep either under or on top of primer to give smoothest complexion possible.” Use a primer for your eyeshadow as well to keep it from smudging or creasing on your special day!
