Thoughts? It’s a perfect little go-to palette for fall, stocked with four baked, shimmery earth shades and a small tube of LORAC’s own Behind the Scenes Eyeshadow Primer. Shadow and eye primer in one little kit is a perfect situation, and convenient for when you want to spend your hard-earned money on a perfect eyeshadow palette and get the most out of your buck. The “Little Black Palette” (cute name, right?) is $32, and that $32 buys you four versatile shades for a variety of eye looks, that stay put all day (thanks to the primer), and could very well last you through the season. I, for one, do not wear eyeshadow everyday – I’m more of an eyeliner/mascara/lip gloss kinda girl with a touch of blush – so this kit is perfect for adding a bit of color to my eyes on some days and going for a full-on glamourous look on some evenings.

There are two things I love about the shadows and primer on top of the vibrant color feedback and long wear. For one, the shadows are baked, so there is truly minimal fallout when you apply them. No more raccoon eyes! Also, they will last longer in the pan, stretching your buck even more. Two, the primer blends to be pretty much transparent, and feels satin to the touch and on the skin. It never feels chalky.

I’d shared on my personal Twitter account that I wasn’t sure whether or not I wanted to wear eyeshadow this season after taking a break from them all summer, but with the addition of this palette to my collection, I can see myself sporting these shades on a semi-regular basis. Unless your complexion is rosy or very fair, these colors should suit your skintone perfectly.

I applied the shadows with a light hand over the primer, but if you’re more into a vibrant/dramatic eyeshadow look, you could apply a “color base” beforehand.

This palette also contains NARS Orgasm Blush and The Multiple shade South Beach, which make for a perfectly blushed look with a bronze contour. On dark skin, however, Orgasm reminds me of another blush I love (Precious Posy by Clinique) and just tends to leave a peachy glow on the face. Also, South Beach makes a gorgeous cheek and brow highlight on darker skins.

This is a perfect date night palette that allows for either a neutral or smoky eye look, and either a passionate lip look or a softer one (created by Baby Doll Lip Lacquer).

Since receiving my Korres shipment the other day which I was too excited about, I’ve introduced two Korres products into my routine and in this FOTD. What do you think of this makeup look? Too much? Just enough?

While the peachy blush with fine, subtle shimmer looks lovely on fair-medium skin (according to rave reviews on sephora.com), it works better as a highlighter on the tops of the cheekbones on darker skin. The shadows, however, are pretty pigmented, making this palette amazingly wearable on all skin tones.

Did I mention the casing? So nice! The glossy, textured, magnetized lid opens up to the mirrored palette. There are no applicators, but that’s okay, because with shadows this luxe it is ideal to apply with quality makeup brushes.

You know, they say purple eyeshadow enhances hazel and brown eyes. This is one of my new favorite looks! The other day I was “doing drugstore” and picked up CoverGirl Eye Enhancers 4-Kit Eyeshadow in Berries & Cream as well as Ardell Fashion Lashes in 101 Demi cut. Who says one can’t make drugstore look good? I admit, I kicked up the color payoff of the CG shadows with a dab of Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion, but the look was fab nonetheless.

For purposes of this review, Bay would be a perfect alterna-shade, although I would like to experiment with some of the other pretty colors from the line aswell such as Fountain and Ocean.

I rediscovered this product when I randomly pulled it out and starting dabbing the fluid here, there, and there on my face with the sponge-tipped applicator, then quickly blended it to see the effect. It was quite lovely! Not only do I use it on my browbone and lid, but also right under my eyes above the apples of my cheeks for an iridescent glow. I also dabbed it on my lips before applying lip gloss to provide a light golden base. Who says there’s only one way to use a beauty product?
