I appreciate that the products smell a lot like what I’m used to using (shave cream, aftershave, and deodorant). The products have a “manly” smell to them, for lack of a better word. I also like the toning pads, which I was advised to store in the fridge, as they can also be used to refresh my face after a day out in the heat. It’s a nice touch.

At $95, the kit is a bit pricey, but for the dad in your life that has everything, I’d consider it a worthy investment. His skin will appreciate it.

Alford & Hoff Men’s Grooming

A few weeks ago I spoiled my boyfriend with some products from Alford & Hoff men’s grooming line, including their Sirtuin-Activating Serum & Moisturizer for all skin types and also Alford & Hoff Microdermabrasion for all skin types.

My observation: After just the first use, his skin was glowing! It looked like he’d had a professional facial done. His skin was soft-to-the-touch and looked more clear overall. I snuck in a couple uses of the Microdermabrasion for myself and liked how smooth it left my skin, although I imagine it’s more ideal for a man’s skin pre-shave due to how abrasive the granules felt.

His observation: “The serum and moisturizer don’t clog my pores at all. My breakouts cleared up after a couple uses of the microderm… I love how smooth my skin feels and I get a closer shave. Also, my face glows as if I’d had a facial done.”
