How gorgeous is she? Evan Rachel Wood looks simply fresh and striking in NARS Spring 2012 makeup! (and that fabulous, metallic green Gucci mermaid dress)

Makeup Inspiration:
“Sometimes the stars just align (pun intended) and tonight with nominee Evan Rachel Wood, her look came together so organically. Of course with a Gucci Premiere gown such as hers, it was all about the dress so we wanted to keep the make up clean and soft.

When I saw the new NARS Spring collection, it was as if the products were created specifically for this look! We had so much fun getting ready for the big day. We rocked out to some of our favorite tunes (Lykke Li), ate some yummy snacks (cookies of course) and most importantly laughed!”

The Look:

Paramaribo Duo Eyeshadow (new for Spring 2012) was the exact gilded gold and bronze we wanted to create a soft metallic eye that would pick up the accent of the feathers. Then we used Almay One Coat Nourishing Mascara on the lashes to finish the eye (ok maybe more than one coat!).

To keep the rest of the face feminine, the new NARS Gaiety Blush (new for Spring 2012) was amazing for a sheer flush of pink on the cheek along with a swipe of good-old standby NARS Angelika Blush to add a bit of shimmer.

NARS Sex Machine Velvet Matte Lip Pencil topped off with Como Larger Than Life Lip Gloss gave Evan a soft mauve pink lip to complete the look.

Hairstylist Andy Lecompte was inspired to create a classic look for Megan Fox with a glamorous vibe to complement her stunning one-strap gown.

To achieve this look, Lecompte started by applying Phyto Professional Intense Volume Mousse ($20) before blow drying. He set her hair using a 3/4-inch barrel curling iron and then pin curls. Once he released the pin curls, Lecompte brushed out her hair and gave the hair a deep side part.

The buzz has been that leggings are mostly done going forward, but apparently Kim Kardashian begs to differ. As do I. Leggings have been a most comfortable transition into Fall, for me, because I tell you that I wore pants/jeans maybe a collective week all summer. I love how Kim tops off this outfit with a graphite cropped blazer that matches part of the print in her long, earth-toned top. Her platform booties also shed new light for me on shoes that can be paired with leggings. Loves it.

FACE: Blend on NARS Sheer Matte Foundation and set the formula with NARS Powder Foundation in your shade.
EYES: Apply the lighter, seafoam green from NARS Cleo Eyeshadow Duo across the lid, stopping at the crease. Sweep the darker green from the duo into the crease to contour.
CHEEKS: Blend Orgasm blush from NARS Orgasm/Casino Blush Duo onto the apples of your cheeks. Contour your cheekbones with Casino blush. Highlight the tops of your cheekbones with NARS Albatross Highlighting Blush Powder
LIPS: Line lips with NARS Belle de Jour Velvet Matte Lip Pencil. Apply NARS Honolulu Honey Lipstick then dab a bit of NARS Chelsea Girls Lip Lacquer on top.
