I’ve been meaning to conjure up a post for the past few days about how delighted I am to have found Alice (which was introduced to me by the lovely Wendy).
Alice is every woman’s dream. I mean, unless you like to run out to the store for toiletries every time they run out. Now, you can purchase all your toiletries, vitamins, cleaning supplies, and other household items online for CHEAP and have them shipped for free!
Below are some screenshots of just some of the products available through Alice:
Needless to say, I’m loving this site! You can join, too, and receive a $10 credit with your first $50 purchase:
I can’t be bothered with crowded gyms or diet pills, so to kick off my “fit body” resolution for the year, I decided to drink more water.
It’s easily forgotten how drinking copious amounts of water (up to 100 ounces per day) can do for your body: feeling better-rested, more energized, heightened mental focus, less water retention, and so much more.
Being that tap water leaves a bitter taste in my palate and bottled water seems so wasteful, an at-home water filtering and purification system is ideal. I use HoMedics Restore Clean Water System.

Often, on Mondays I’m already thinking of Friday as I glance at my to-do list for the week. I know that for me, Friday evenings mean — ideally — having fulfilled all my to-do’s for the week and being able to unwind for the weekend. I’m talking taking a break from work and the computer to chill at home with a good book, perhaps a glass of wine, and a good back or neck massage for added relaxation. Since I don’t yet invest in professional massages, a home massage option is suitable for my lifestyle.

Yardley of London has compiled a list of guilt-free gifts you can pick up for yourself while doing your last-minute holiday shopping.
You already know you will be sneaking a little something here and a little something there, so here are a few guilt-free treats that won’t set your budget back.

Primula Personal Tea Maker ($14.99) makes a perfect winter gift. Or, buy for yourself and create a chic, classy tea bar in your own home.
The 3-piece set includes a 12oz mug, infuser, and a lid that doubles as a coaster. I love the ease of using this set, made especially to serve tea for one. Using the infuser, you can not only steep tea bags, but also easily brew loose tea, and of course Primula Flowering Teas. The Tea Maker is hand blown glass that will not stain and is both microwave and dishwasher safe.
I tried a couple of flowering teas from Primula, including the seasonal Green Tea with Pumpkin Aroma. The Chinese teas are a bit bitter, although delicious with honey, but it’s their blossoming that steals the show. Mere moments after pouring hot water over the tea cluster, it opens into a beautiful blossom.
Preparing my first cup, I was skeptical about how good the tea blossoms would look, but they really are breathtaking as they unfold in front of you. These are my own photos of the blossoming tea.

‘Tis the season to be an earth-friendly, environmentally conscious anti-scrooge |

Sleigh bells are ringing, snow is glistening, and you’re all about that walk through a winter wonderland. But along with the joy of these seasonal outdoor elements comes the stress of holiday shopping, party hopping and family gathering. We say, no need to be gloomy when there’s merriness to be found. Here, ways to relax and rejoice, while respecting the green (both the Earth and your loot). |
