My 3 Fave Beauty Products (Right Now)

I love all kinds of beauty products, but especially those that I get attached to using throughout the day (like a great gloss) or something multifunctional (like an all-over highlighter). Following are my personal top five go-beauty beauty products *right now* that can be found in my handbag at all times.

• Crabtree & Evelyn “Purify” Aromatherapy Distillations lotion – I actually prefer to keep a bottle of this next to the sink in the bathroom. After washing my hands, I’ll moisturize with a dab of this and then cup my hands around my face. It looks like I’m poised to sneeze, but I’m only inhaling the aromas for a moment — eucalyptus and lime — and they really seem to open up my sinuses! It’s good stuff for allergy season, and it doesn’t leave a greasy film on your hands.
• Smashbox O-Gloss – When you squeeze O-Gloss onto your lips, after a while the clear gloss turns a shade of pink to match your mood and your skintone. For those of you that own O-Gloss, have you ever tried a dab on your eyelids? Just a bit on medium to dark or tanned skin gives your eyes a pretty glow.
• Philosophy Mimosa Flavored Lip Shine – If you don’t mind the delicious taste of a mimosa on your lips all day, Mimosa Lip Shine has this dazzling effect on your lips that allows you to get away with low-key lipgloss-and-mascara days. The directions on the tube say to “Melt into your lips twice a day”, and I love the printed Philosophy slogan that reads, “great taste is acquired, not bought.” How true!
