Frugal Finds: Winter Blowout

Weather near the Great Lakes is pretty brutal late winter, as most of the snow and chilling cold hits mid-late February. I usually wait until this time to bust out my heaviest winter gear. I despise the winter, and I hate having to drop the cash on the big coat, warmers, and winter boots (although some cute, inexpensive boots can be found here).

However, while browsing my favorite secondhand store, I found most of my late-winter gear for less than $100!

Hat: David & Young, $16
Coat: Old Navy, $30
Bag: generic, $40

I usually hate those coats, but I love how that one looks on you, both the fit and the color. I love the bag as well, and that hat looks skaterish to me.

Love the outfit! I haven’t had to buy a coat in two years due to living in Florida. I could use a light jacket though.

Ahh great finds! I can’t wait until next week, I’ll be coming home for my baby shower and I’ll get to go shopping at this ginormous thrift store. It’s like the size of like a target or walmart! It’s bargain heaven.
