False eyelashes can be a girl’s chicest accessory. They instantly give your look ultra feminine flair. With all the shapes, sizes, and false eyelash styles on the market it’s impossible to get bored with them!
If you’re a newbie to false lashes and want a reliable and fool-proof pair, start at your local drugstore beauty aisle. There you should be able to find rows of Ardell and Andrea brand lashes. Revlon also has great wispy eyelashes. If you’re going for a subtle look or you already have pretty full eyelashes, choose a set of lashes that appear to be thinner than the others such as Andrea ModLash in pair #53. If you’re aiming for plush lashes with fuller volume (my personal fave kind), try Ardell lashes in pair #101 (Demi). Be sure to choose a pair that contains eyelash glue in the package, you will need it! Otherwise, look for Ardell Lash Grip glue, which is what I use and find sufficient to keep false lashes in tact all day.
How to Apply Fake Eyelashes
Apply false eyelashes like a pro with these quick and easy tips:
- Apply a thin layer of lash glue to the edge of the band on the false lash.
- Wait 20-30 seconds for the glue to become tacky (when it begins to dry a bit)
- You can start at the outer corner of your eye or the inner corner. I like to start with the inner corner. Using tweezers, grip the lash strip in the center, close to one end. Push the end of the band/glue against your lashes using the tweezers for precision. Using the tweezers, gently move across the band/glue, pressing the lash strip against your own lashes all the way across.
- Repeat steps 1-3 for your other eye. Wait a moment to ensure the glue has dried completely before [optionally] curling your lashes with an eyelash curler for enhanced curl
