In My Bag: NAO (Never Accept Ordinary) Highlighter
I decided to take a hiatus from wearing eyeliner today - a fast from wearing my staple black eyeliner! No thought really went into it, I simply skipped it today and didn’t once feel the need to break it out and put it on. I don’t think it would have worked, however, without a new highlighter I test-drove today. It’s fabulous! My face looked so flawless, I was able to swing it with minimal makeup.
NAO (never accept ordinary) Highlighter in dark ($17) is a magic wand! It’s thick enough to double as a concealer - and a very good one, at that. My face catches the light so lovely while I’m wearing it, distracting away from any imperfections and annoying shadows against my skin. Click here to see where I apply highlighter/concealer. This would be great for photo ops! The tube is white, which is great when you’re fumbling through your makeup bag and everything else happens to be in sleek and black packaging.
On days when I want to go ‘natural’ but still look enough presentable for the office, my secret weapons are MAC eyeshadow in Mystery to deepen the crease of my eyes and contour my cheeks, Lancome Juicy Tubes lip gloss in Hallucination, and NAO Highlighter. Never Accept Ordinary.
Precious from Precious & Makeup uses NAO cosmetics also, so I knew it had to be good!

I may just have to try this.
What a great idea to use as a concealer!
I’m so happy that you like it!
If anyone likes MAC cosmetics, you’ll def. want to try out NAO cosmetics.
I haven’t bought much MAC items every since I started to buy NAO.
They don’t have all the “hype” nor the ads but, their quality (like Artistry Cosmetics) is just as good as any other department/highend brand.
So, I never really use a “real” concealer when I put on make up, I just take my Bare Minerals concealer bush and the actual foundation as the concealer like it showed me in the dvd, and just put on my make up like usual. I saw the picture of where you put on NAO, and was a little confused. Is it supposed to go on lighter than you skin complexion and then you blend it in? Or, do you have to put on make up on top of it?

Megan,
It is lighter than my skin color, which highlighters/concealers are supposed to be. I blended all of it, and I would use this on top of your regular makeup. It blends so nicely!
I’ve always been so curious about highlighter! I usually just use some slightly shimmery loose powder or a tiny tiny bit of vanilla pigment (blended very well, of course) instead.
By the way, you look gorgeous with and without eyeliner! It’s a hard thing to break away from though, huh?
gosh, you make me want the concealer, but im pretty doubt if i can get it here in my town… you looks so pretty with it!
Never Accept Ordinary… i like that line!
I’m make up challenged. I have no idea what highlighter or concealer is for.
