Kim Kardashian Makeup Tips & Tricks
When I’m eying any celeb, it’s not because I envy their celebrity lifestyle or necessarily advocate any of the choices they make. I’m usually dying to know who styled their ‘brows, what gorgeous shade of eyeshadow they were wearing (like Alicia Keys on the Tyra Show – wow!), or Kim Kardashian skin care secrets. Kim is no exception to my celeb beauty curiousity. She’s gorgeous!
Thankfully Kim and I both have a fetish for blogging beauty tips – this week at least – because lucky for the gals that love her look, Kim shared her choice beauty products on her blog!
How To Get Kim Kardashian’s Make-Up Look:
Makeup Primer: Intuit Photo Shoot
Concealer: Cle De Peau concealer stick (only comes in two shades) or MAC concealer (in the pot)
Foundation: Make Up Forever liquid foundation, using MAC brush no. 180
Powder: MAC Select Sheer Pressed Powder
Blush: MAC Gingerly for warmth then MAC Cheek blush for rosy cheeks. (Kim says she’s obsessed with cream blush and so am I, because it lasts longer)
Eyeshadow: Kim uses a MAC Paint Pot that matches her skintone as a base (Painterly) to prevent creasing. She applies the paint pot with her finger, covering the lid.
Known for her smoldering, smoky eye look, these are the MAC eyeshadows Kim Kardashian uses for different smoky eye looks:
Smoky black: Carbon
Smoky grey: Knight Divine or Print
Smoky brown: Embark
For shimmery eyes Kim uses MAC Pigment in Tan.
Eyeliner: Stila
Mascara: Lancome Hypnose mascara (that’s my girl! I love that stuff, gives such plush lashes) or MAC Zoom mascara. Like me, Kim loves to layer mascaras and often layers Hypnose on top of MAC Zoom for sexy eyes.
Lips: To get Kim’s signature nude lip look she uses a nude lipliner called Stripdown by MAC (find one to match your skintone). She then uses MAC’s Angel lipstick with NARS Turkish Delight lip gloss on top. For a matte nude lip Kim lines her lips with MAC Subculture lipliner then applies NARS Belle De Jour lipstick.
Overall, Kim seems to be a heavy MAC/Make Up Forever Fan. I totally adore her look although I find myself experimenting with a bit more color
