Try a Smoky Cat Eye, Nude Lip Look for Under $30

    February 10th, 2010 // Makeup Looks

In my opinion, there’s nothing sexier than a soft smoky eye look with winged eyeliner and a glossy nude lip. What’s even better is finding the main components of this look — a light/dark eyeshadow duo, black eyeliner, and nude lip gloss — for under $30!

For this look I used all L’Oreal products:

    • L’Oreal HIP eyeshadow duo in Dashing (soft pink/smoky black)
    • L’Oreal HIP Color Chrome Eyeliner in Black Shock (sparkly black)
    • L’Oreal Infallible Plumping Lip Gloss in Plumped Pink

All three products have impressive staying power and make for a super pretty look!

I started out with primer (eyes and face), foundation, a dusting of powder, and soft blush (for fair skin use a peachy blush; for dark skin, a soft plum works well).

To get a smoky cat eye, apply the pink shade from the L’Oreal duo from your lash line blending up toward your browbone. Next, draw a cat eye with the black liner (essentially, line your eyes like normal but a little thicker, then extend the line to created the winged look as seen below). After drawing your cat eye, pat black eyeshadow lightly across your lid up to the crease, applying layer after layer until you get the intensity you like.

I finished off my eyes with mascara, but you can use false lashes if you like!

Lastly, layer on the Infallible pink gloss for a full, plush lip look that should last for hours!

I took a picture of look on me (but forgive that I used my cellphone):

Perfect for your next night out this week! Have fun xoxo
