My Fave Glosses Right Now (Plus Pictures)
Currently I’m into any gloss with a rosy- or peachy-gold tint or anything with gold flecks in it. The three lip glosses I’m wearing most lately are NARS Lip Gloss in Orgasm ($25), Stila 24kt Shimmer Gloss in Radiant Sunset ($22), and Sephora Brilliant Shine Lip Gloss in Rosy Glow ($10). You can actually find all three at your local Sephora, but I’ll warn you that the Stila gloss seems to be sold out like everywhere. Bummer! It’s one of my favorites and I have already used up like a quarter of it since getting my hands on it a couple weeks ago.
NARS Orgasm gloss is a long-time fave of mine, mostly because I absolutely love the peachy gold shade. It’s quite thicker than the other glosses, which is a bit of a turn-off for me, but the upside is that the color stays put longer. As with all NARS glosses I like to apply a good lip balm underneath to keep my lips moisturized.
Stila’s Radiant Sunset 24kt Shimmer Gloss debuted with their new Indian Summer 2009 collection. I love it as well as many of my other beauty blogging friends! It’s a red-orange hue with a perfect amount of pigment (not too sheer and not too opaque) and has flecks of genuine 24kt gold. I posted an Indian Summer look last week wearing this gloss.
Sephora’s Brilliant Shine gloss in Rosy Glow is a rosy peach shade with the finest hint of shimmer to it. It’s the creamiest formula of the three I’ve featured here and the color is so versatile that I find myself applying this one most throughout the day.
