ChapStick has never really been a cosmetic item used to add an element of glamour to the face, but rather to moisturize and comfort your lips. But, the new ChapStick True Shimmer ($2.29) line changes this. In addition to soothing dry, flaky lips, True Shimmer ChapStick leaves lips shimmery and with a hint of tint to the lips.
I own three flavors of True Shimmer ChapStick – Peppermint Rush (hits stores in August), Botanical Berry, and Tropical – and they smell just as the names suggest. Usually I wear them under my lip gloss as a moisture and shimmer base but I also find myself wearing them alone often because they make my lips look so soft and lustrous.
My personal favorite is Peppermint Rush, as it not only smells and looks great on but it also makes lips tingle. Just what I love in a lip balm! Look out for this version in stores next month.
