After getting inches of my hair chopped off in August, my new look is something a bit more flexible, thus more “me” at the moment. Versatility is key when it comes to hair, in my opinion. Styling short hair takes some getting used to but in the end I’ve found it to be much more fun, especially now that it’s grown to a more manageable length (even after a couple trims).
Regarding hair growth, many girls are afraid to try a more daring (shorter) hairstyle due to fear that their own hair will take forever to grow back. This doesn’t have to be the case with proper hair care and a diet that supports healthy hair. Limiting manipulation (as in, brushing, combing, heat products, etc.) supports healthy hair as well as a healthy diet. My diet/supplement regimen includes not only biotin – a mineral that strengthens and thickens your strands – but also essential fatty acids (EFA’s).
It’s no secret that I love seafood – sushi, anyone? – but I also consume an extra 1,000mg of essential fatty acids daily via fish oil capsules. EFA’s can also be found in flaxseeds and other natural sources. These fatty acids moisturize and soften hair and skin from the inside out, and moisturized hair means better retention (less breakage).
Sometimes I prefer to use a bit of hairspray to sculpt my hair and maintain its shape when I’m playing with different styles. Hairspray can be drying on the hair, so I look for ones with more moisturizing formulas. I believe I’ve found a match with Ojon Swa+ Instant Hold Hairspray. Fortified with patented Swa+ Oil, this hairspray actually infuses your strands with omega-3 and 6 essential fatty acids. The result is a perfectly sculpted style with moisturizing benefits. Swa+ hairspray provides a strong hold without weighing hair down, so a light spritz will do.
Ojon’s Swa+ Hairspray also gives a subtle shine and has a musk-like scent, probably due to other exotic oil ingredients including ojon, babassu, jojoba, crambe seed, and macadamia oils.
For now, you can find Ojon Swa+ Instant Hold Hairspray exclusively on QVC.com for $27. The tall can lasts forever, since a little spritz goes a long way.

Yep, and whoever didn’t know could have found out via Twitter/Facebook as it was no secret… However, I had to cut off about three inches to get rid of damaged ends and have the style I wanted.
