I was originally going to do an “October Faves” type of thing, but it’s well into November at this point, sooo these are things I’m loving right now

I was slightly on the fence as to whether or not I was satisfied with the performance of this pencil, but now I’m sure that this liner and I are inseparable for the time being. In the photos from my last review I had only applied two, relatively thin layers. Anymore I’m layering on Revlon’s Matte Kohl like crazy and the feedback is indeed an intense matte black that I crave on the daily. I usually just apply it to my bottom waterline and lashline and leave my top lid un-lined, then pile on tons of L’Oreal Telescopic Explosion Mascara. My only qualm is that Revlon’s Matte Kohl fades in mere hours. Big time. I could use Primer Potion, I suppose, but I can’t be bothered with the extra step on an everyday basis.

I’ve been compulsively buying packs and packs of these little 3/$2.99 instant coffee packets from my local Starbucks (the Extra Bold Italian Roast, of course). It’s crazy, but I actually prefer the taste of VIA instant coffee over Starbucks’ classic brewed coffee. Well, only if you drink it up quickly, as the longer it sits, VIA tends to turn bitter. That’s no matter to me, though, because if I’m drinking a simple cup of coffee I don’t need time to savor it as I would for a latte or macchiato. So, for an early-morning pick-me-up, VIA gets the job done for me. Plus, it takes seconds to dump a packet into a hot mug of water and stir to perfection. I’m thinking these would be great for flights or even at the office (where the coffee probably tastes horrendous).

I could not believe the selection of nail polish that has become available at Urban Outfitters locations when I saw the display in-store. There are so many shades to choose from… I love color palettes of any kind so I spent a while just gandering at the shades. Strangely, one of the shades I picked up was one I didn’t know if I’d like but simply wanted it in my collection. But I love it. It’s Fall going into Winter and I’m totally sporting what I would call a pastel pea green nail color, totally unabashedly and head-over-heels. It just looks really good with my skintone. Fortunately, I’ve gotten compliments that confirm this, so I’m sticking to this shade for a little while.

It’s incredibly tempting to wear skinny jeans everyday (or even sweats if I’m lazy) since all my business work is from home. But, something about dressing as if I were still going into the office makes me feel so much more focused and productive. I’m loving the selection of tights at Express this season so I’ve stocked up on them. I picked up a basic black pair, of course, and my current favorite pair which are a shade of silvery gray.

Anyone who knows me knows I’m obsessed with scenting my environment. Over the summer I became obsessed with incense, then I switched back to home fragrance oils, and now I’m using Casa di Francesca Orange Blossom Diffuser Kit (available at HSN.com). The citrus-y orange scent is so pleasant to come home (and wake up) to. I placed it in my kitchen to emphasize the citrus-y clean smell I love after doing a bit of house cleaning. If you flip the reed sticks every couple days the scent lingers 24/7 until you’ve run out of fragrance oil.

Loved this post. It’s always great to see lists like this.
Oh yes, dressing up for the home office makes a HUGE difference. I need to stock up on tights – I really want to start wearing tights w hot pants for the holidays.
I love these posts. I have a shimmery grey pair of tights like those, as well!
